Welcome to Even in Distance, a text-heavy tribute and approved fanlisting for the relationship between Vincent Valentine and Lucrecia Crescent (Final Fantasy VII). With this fansite, I hope to provide insight on this much-maligned relationship and, specifically, its female half. It saddens me to see how the poor woman is hated so vehemently by the fan community.

Before we start, a few notes about the content: Vincent and Lucrecia's relationship was mainly expanded upon in Dirge of Cerberus, so much of what I write will refer to its happenings. That's not to say I won't consider the original game's telling, but for the most part, it's not my main focus. Secondly, although the written content is grounded in fact, inference and personal interpretation is often necessary, as Vincent-Lucrecia interaction has always been fairly vague.

However, this doesn't mean I'm going to fill this site with stuff like "Why Vincent/Lucrecia is Canon". No no no. What you will find here is fact-based, grounded information about the relationship, not silly fangirlish stuff on why it's better or more canon than other "pairings".
