Welcome to Even in Distance, a text-heavy tribute and approved fanlisting for the relationship between Vincent Valentine and Lucrecia Crescent (Final Fantasy VII). I find that this relationship and its female half often receive a particularly vehement beating from the fan community, and this saddens me. With this fansite, I hope to shed some light on the complex nature of their bond.

Before we start, a few notes about the content. Firstly, the majority of my writing will reference events as they were told in Dirge of Cerberus. That's not to say I won't consider the original game's telling, but it's certainly not my main focus. After all, Vincent and Lucrecia's relationship was mostly expanded upon in DoC. Secondly, although all articles are grounded in fact, inference and personal interpretation are often necessary. After all, we're discussing an FFVII couple here -- no romance in this franchise is anything but vague.

This doesn't mean I place myself at liberty to fill this site with stuff like "Why Vincent/Lucrecia is Canon". No no no. What you will find here is fact-based information about the relationship, not silly fangirlish stuff on why it's better or more canon than other "pairings". I'm not here to stomp on other fans' preferences.
